I hope this email finds you well. I have been meaning to write you for some time now to let you know how much we love having Finley as part of our family (one of Maile and DaKine's pups). He is 6 months old now and 50 lbs and is a very handsome little man. Finley is a total momma's boy...follows me everywhere, but he still loves playing with his "sisters" (my daughters) and my husband, too.
From the moment we brought him home, he has been so easy to train. No accidents in the house after day 2, three nights of whining in his crate and then sleeping through the night, rarely chews things in the house he shouldn't, and is a voracious eater. As you predicted, he is a talker just like his dad ;-) He aced his puppy training class, too...the trainer always used him as the sample pup. All in all, he is a total joy. People who meet him always comment on how "mellow" he is.
Finley gets a lot of attention wherever we take him, and we always let folks know about Golden Girls. In fact, our next door neighbor recently purchased one of your pups (Jeanne and Dan O'Shaunessy). The pups have met, but Annie needs to get a little bigger before they can truly play together.
Finley LOVES to play with other dogs, so we try to give him as many puppy playdates as we can. There are two golden doodles in the neighborhood - one who is the same age as Fin the other is 8 years old - that he plays with on a regular basis. He also had a chance to meet another Golden Girls pup last weekend! One of my husband's co-workers saw a photo of Finley and realized that he looked a lot like her friend's pup. It turns out Harry (the other pup's name) came from one of the litters born a few weeks before Finley. Harry came over for a playdate, and we were all amazed at how similar their coloring, build, and mannerisms are. They had a ball playing together, and I'm convinced Finley thought he was looking in the mirror ;-)

Caesar is a happy mountain dog with a big backyard and lots of toys. He often comes to work with us, and he loves to ride in the car. When we go to my parents house he loves to play with Bridger, another of your beautiful dogs! Caesar doesn't stay clean very long ... he loves to play in the rain and the snow. When we take our daily walks around the lake here in Estes Park, we are almost always stopped by someone who wants to comment on his sincere face and lovely shape. He is a nice size and is the perfect shape. He gets plenty of exercise and even more cuddles.

Hope you like the pics. I’m so happy with Jerry – he and Ben just play non-stop. I was worried at first that Ben would be too rough with the little guy but Jerry holds his own. He’ll grow up strong.
Both Ben and Jerry have come from our dogs- just a few years apart!

Happy Holidays! [I am not too early, am I?]
I am contemplating adding another puppy from you guys.
Moose is from Kapu and is the most mellow of dogs. So mellow, that after throwing the ball about 10x, he is done. [he runs 2miles about 3-4x a week with my husband…and he ends up ‘dragging’ the dog home!]. His coat looks a lot like your photos of Kapu…not your typical Golden ‘full’ coat. He has the feathering, but not the bushy-ness. Fyi- because of his extreme mellowness as a puppy, we did have a full Thyroid panel done on him. Came back perfect!
Moose is wonderful. So mellow, yet, like all puppies, turns on when it is ‘go time’. He is great with my 3.5 yr old.

This is Kaya's Christmas photo (taken at 3 1/2 months) that we sent out
on cards. She is sitting with Brit.
She is now approaching her 5 month birthday and is growing like a weed.
She is tall, lean, in perfect health and as you said, the sweetest
puppy. She is so affectionate and still likes to fall asleep, on her
back, while being held. She is very smart and already obeys several
commands. She loves to take daily walks and run in the open space by
our house. Kaya is truly a retriever as we have seen everything from
twigs to sneakers layed at our feet. Winnie, our Aussie Mix, has had
more exercise in the past few months than in the past 7 years. They get
along great with Winnie being the nuturer and Kaya being the playful
pup.
We can't thank you enough for giving us the greatest pup, ever.
